American Food 美国美食

When I first chose this topic, I was inspired by ceramic artist Shi Hanyu who created ceramic replicas of food found in Asian American pantries. Later while doing research, I came across a photo jokingly titled "Typical American Breakfast," showing a plate of bacon with a large gun next to it. Combining these ideas, I wanted to share American culture through food in a similar way, but express a darker, more complex side of America. These works represent issues that I personally care about.

我一開始選擇這個話題，我受到了陶瓷藝術家石函玉的啟發，她製作了亞裔美國人食品儲藏室裡的食物。在做研究時，我發現了一張開玩笑地題為“典型的美式早餐”的照片，上面有一盤培根，旁邊放著一把大槍。所以我也想以類似的方式通過食物分享美國文化，但表達美國更黑暗、更複雜的一面。 這些作品都代表了我個人關心的問題。
